Our History:
GeoVera Holdings, Inc. was organized on June 28, 2005 by Friedman, Fleischer & Lowe LLC and Hellman & Friedman LLC for the purpose of acting as a holding company for the acquisition of GeoVera Insurance, Pacific Select Property and GeoVera Specialty, as well as its subsidiary, GeoVera Specialty Insurance Services. These operations were acquired by GeoVera Holdings, Inc. from St. Paul Travelers Companies, Inc. in November, 2005, with some of our current operations dating back to 1993.

Our strategy is to seek attractive returns by underwriting a diversified book of catastrophe exposed business. We employ a highly technical approach to assess exposures and calculate appropriate premium rates for those exposures. We believe that we are a leader in the industry in understanding, developing and utilizing catastrophe modeling software to manage our portfolio of risk. Our expertise in underwriting catastrophe exposed residential property risks is highly recognized by the reinsurance community.
